i80s fans of Rap and RnB ...LETS REPRESENT! Post away any of your thoughts, fave songs, fave artists, etc.
My favorite Rap/RnB artists back-in-da-day were: New Edition, Freddie Jackson, Midnight Starr, Atlantic Starr, Earth Wind Fire, Debarge, Prince, Time, Ready For The World, Jeffrey Osborne, Michael Jackson (the 80s dude, not the present), Run DMC, Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Full Force, Lisa Lisa Cult Jam, the Jets.....blah, blah, blah...I could go on forever!

Prince, 80s Michael Jackson, Sade, Freddie Jackson, Midnight Starr, Anita Baker, Debarge, Earth Wind Fire, The Time, Atlantic Starr, Lisa Lisa Cult Jam, Shalamar, The Jets, Run DMC... if it was funky, I liked it! Back in the day, I enjoyed most all of, what is now called, old skool rap, I loved dance (club) music and I was totally into breakdance and hip hop. Actually, both then and now, I like almost all types of music except Country... ;)

Imagination is still one of my favourites. 'Just An Illusion' is a classic! :thumbsup3

Imagination did some huge tracks indeed. Also, they were probably one of the few UK based r&b bands actually making it in the US.
My fav is the little known house mix of their 1987 song "Instinctual".
