Ok here is another Question - Does Anyone know if Anita Baker is still recording music or not and if so does she have any thing new out there!? I love the Song - Sweet love that she use to sing!!:)

Anita signed with Blue Note

According to JazzUSA.com, Blue Note Records staff revealed that Anita Baker has signed with the label. This was revealed at the 30th annual International Association of Jazz Education convention, held earlier this month in Toronto, Canada.

Let's hope her blue note deal will actually produce something.
She signed with atlantic in 1999 and was to release an album in 2000. It never happened.
Signing with Blue Note is a good thing though. hopefully we'll get that straight ahead jazz album she promised us for ages.

I agree with you about Norah Jones although she's starting to get a bit overplayed, a bit like Eva Cassidy. Anita Baker has such a wondeful voice and the songs "giving you the best that I got" and "Sweet Love" are sooo sensual :D
