This is was a side-project for the Isley Brothers, I think. With hit songs like Caravan of Love & I Can Hardly Wait. You have to know the songs once played on the radio in your car. Anybody remembered them?

This was indeed a side project. But as far as I know Isley Jasper Isley had no intentions of going back to Ronald & Rudolph Isley again. Only Guitarist Ernie Isley returned a few years later.
Isley Jasper Isley released 3 albums for Epic:
Broadway's Closer To Sunset Blvd. (1984)
Caravan Of Love (1986)
Different Drummer (1987)
Singer Chris Jasper went solo and released "Super Bad" in 1987. A pretty good album that unfortunately no one noticed. He then left secular music in order to record a gospel album "Praise The Eternal" for the Gold City Label.
Ernie Isley put out a rock influenced album "High Wire" on Elektra in 1990.
Of Course, "Caravan of Love" was a big hit for british group The Housemartins when they made an acapella version of it around 1986.

"Caravan Of Love" is still the Jam!
Their recent album hit no.1 just a few weeks ago.
