Anybody remember this style of music??
Some people say it was a sort of local phenomenon coming out of early 80s Washington DC and never really making it to the charts.
However, that is definetely not true...i remember stuff by Trouble Funk and Little benny And The masters being played over here.
A good describtion of go go music would be:
Very drum & percussion driven music with rap-like "call and response" lyrics and a lot of chanting. It has a "live" like feeling to it often with long instrumental breaks.
