"Full Name: Jermaine LaJaun Jackson
Birth Date: 11. December 1954
Birthplace: Gary, Indiana
Children: Jermaine Jr. , Autumn & Jaimy, Jeremy & Jourdyn
Jermaine played bass and shared most of the Jackson Five's lead vocals together with Michael. His first self titled solo album on Motown Records was released in 1972 and in 1973 Jermaine's second solo album "Come Into My Life" was released.
As the Jackson 5 switched labels in 1975 Jermaine left the group and stayed with Motown to establish himself as a solo artist. His first solo album after leaving the group "Come Into My Life" was released in 1976. Jermaine's Motown albums include "Frontiers", "Let's Get Serious" and "Let Me Tickle Your Fancy". One of his hit singles for Motown Records was the Stevie Wonder written song "Let's Get Serious".
In 1982 Jermaine also left Motown, to sign with Arista Records to release his, so far, most successfull solo album "Dynamite". The Album "Dynamite" includes the hit singles "Sweetest Sweetest", "Do What You Do", and "When The Rain Begins To Fall" - a duet with Pia Zandora. This album also includes duets with Whitney Houston (Take Good Care Of My Heart) and Michael Jackson (Tell Me I'm Not Dreamin'). "Take Good Care Of My Heart wouldn't be the last time Jermaine and Whitney worked together. They recorded another duet called "If You Say My Eyes Are Beautiful" and Jermaine produced the song "Someone For Me" on Whitney's debut album.
His next solo album on Arista was "Precious Moments" (1986) and "Don't Take It Personal". Jermaine also rejoined The Jacksons - a second time after the "Victory" album and tour in 1985 - to release 2300 Jackson Street in 1989.
In 1991 the Babyface & L.A. Reid produced album "You Said" has been released on LaFace records. This album include "Treat You Right" a duet with Babyface and was so far Jermaine's last solo album. Jermaine will yet again, rejoin his brothers to appear on t the upcoming J5 reunion album."
